Vattenfall starts off bidding approach for Berlin district heating business enterprise

DUESSELDORF, Germany, Dec 6 (Reuters) – Swedish vitality group Vattenfall (VATN.UL) stated on Tuesday it was launching a bidding approach for its Berlin district heating business and approaching interested investors.

Vattenfall stated it expected to make a decision whether or not to offer the Berliner Fernwaerme small business in the 1st fifty percent of 2023.

The Berlin Senate has expressed interest in both of those the district heating company and Vattenfall’s almost 32% share in the capital’s fuel provider GASAG.

The heating company employs about 1,700 people and materials about 1.4 million homes in Berlin with hot water and heating.
