Chrissy Teigen has revealed she hasn’t had a “drop of alcohol in 365 days” as she celebrated staying sober for a year.
The former model and TV personality said on Instagram she misses “feeling loopy and carefree sometimes” but feels “really good”.
Teigen previously admitted that her drinking had “got embarrassing” and that she was trying to give up the booze.
In January she posted a six-month update saying she was “happier more present than ever” and no longer taking benzodiazepines for anxiety.
The 36-year-old posted on Monday: “I drank to end crazy anxiety that later mostly went away when I – get this – quit drinking! sigh.
“Anyhow I feel really good. Sometimes I get really frustrated looking back on days I should remember way better than I do because of alcohol. Like when I drank cafe patron and fell asleep while an Outback Steakhouse chef taught me (my friends) how to make a bloomin onion at my house. I wish I was awake for that.!
She told her followers there are images of “huge moments” in her life, such as with family or at work, “where my eyes just look… gone”.
“Wish I remembered really any awards show lol,” she said.
Alongside the post, Teigen shared a video of herself with her children and husband, the singer John Legend, apparently on holiday.
However, she admitted she’s unsure whether alcohol is out of her life for good.
“I do know I never want to be that way again,” she said. “And for now, none is best. I’ll let the bad dreams come up and try to sort them out in therapy, without booze”.
Teigen’s post got more than 300,000 likes in 12 hours – including from her husband.
All of Me singer Legend posted: “Soooooo proud of you, my strong beautiful wife!”
Teigen hit headlines last year when old messages she had sent to people on social media resurfaced, which she later apologised for.
